Silicone Savant: Per-fékt Eye Perfection Gel
Posted by Ashling Moss
❂❂❂
Tired of under-eye concealer picnicking in fine lines and caking around the under eye area? Then Per-fékt Eye Perfection Gel is a must-have for you.
This multi-tasking, silicone savant leaves the eye area smooth, airbrushed and “lit from within.” The formula consists of a light-reflecting tint, soothing cucumber extract, antioxidants, hyaluronic microspheres, peptides and ceramides, that all work to smooth-away the appearance of puffy, tired looking eyes, blur fine lines and wrinkles, brighten and hydrate.
The cooling palladium tip applicator is excellent for getting the circulation moving in the morning. It applies the mousse-like gel effortlessly and feels very soothing on the delicate under eye area. Very similar to a primer, fine lines are less noticeable, as if they had been “softened” or blurred. It feels like an eye treatment, brightens, erases and keeps any product layered on top from settling and/or caking.
Per-fékt Eye Perfection Gel is available in four varieties – Awake (colorless), Bright (sheer, light neutral), Refreshed (sheer, medium beige) and Vibrant (warm tan for olive). Eye Perfection Gel can also be used as an eyeshadow primer and also as a subtle highlight on the cheek bone and/or brow bone area.
How to Use:
Premeasure a drop of eye perfection gel by squeezing out onto the cooling palladium tip applicator before applying around the delicate eye area. With cooling palladium tip applicator, gently pat and smooth from the outside corner of the eye inward. Gently smooth with fingertips. Use sparingly as eye perfection gel is not diluted with water. Layer for desired perfection or coverage. Do not use eye cream before application as the skin may not absorb eye perfection gel properly. A slight cooling sensation is normal.
About Per-fékt:
As one of the beauty industry’s leading entrepreneurs, Richard Anderson has successfully launched some of today’s leading beauty brands including The Lancaster Group, Yves Saint Laurent and Bobbi Brown Essentials.
While working in the beauty industry over 14 years, Anderson discovered one dominant complaint and growing frustration for women. NO TIME. Because of today’s high performance and personally demanding world, women simply don’t have the time to invest in a lengthy beauty ritual. With never a spare moment schedules, women need simple and dependable beauty products that can multi-task as gracefully as they do.
In order to fill this need and capitalize on this niche market, Anderson utilized his vast connections and industry knowledge to create Per-fekt Beauty, Inc. Per-fekt is fully committed to launching technologically advanced products that simply ‘per-fekt’ the way women wear cosmetics.

Q&A: Jouer National Makeup Stylist – Neil Scibelli
Posted by Ashling Moss
❖❖❖
Yin and Yang, “shadow and light”, is an ancient Chinese philosophy used to describe how polar opposites or seemingly contrary forces are interconnected. Jouer Cosmetics has found this balance with two exceptional and exceptionally different products, Luminizing Moisture Tint and Matte Moisture Tint.
Jouer’s best-selling Luminizing Moisture Tint contains light-diffusing minerals that give skin a soft, healthy glow. This product is formulated with powerful antioxidants like ginseng and ginko biloba leaf extract to improve the skin and SPF 20 to protect it. Jouer’s Luminizing Moisture Tint provides the perfect amount of “glow.” Sometimes products that claim a “luminizing” or “dewy” finish, just end up making you look sweaty. This product perfects the look of healthy skin.
Allure recently gave Luminizing Moisture Tint it’s coveted “Best in Beauty” seal.
The counter part to a glowing complexion is found with Jouer’s new Matte Moisture Tint. This is the first matte-formula I have used that does not make my face flat. The lightweight formula blurs imperfections, moisturizes the skin and provides a velvety, soft focus finish – that looks amazing on the skin. Enriched with Vitamins A, C and E, this formula delivers rich antioxidants to the skin. The oil-free formula absorbs oil and reduces shine throughout the day.
As a special treat, Jouer’s National Makeup Stylist – Neil Scibelli has provided all the answers needed on using, applying and selecting cream-based products.
Jouer National Makeup Stylist, Neil Scibelli, for Glow-T.com
Q: What are the benefits of using cream-based products?
A: Cream based products have the ability to leave a more dewy finish to the skin. A lot of cream based products have built in moisturizers, so I recommend them to women with dry skin.
Q: Can all skin-types use them?
A: Yes, all skin types can use cream based products. There are different categories of cream products, so choosing the right one for your skin type is key.
Q: How to pick the right colors for your skin tone?
A: I usually test a small amount of product on the lower jaw line area- to match the skin tone. I like matching the neck color.
Q: Should you use fingers or brushes to apply these products? If brushes…what are the best to use?
A: Fingers are a user-friendly way to apply cream products (like a tinted moisturizer), for those who are on the go. From a makeup artist standpoint, I recommend using a foundation brush for applying cream products; it creates a more even, flawless finish.
Q: How to apply?
A: I put a dime size amount on the top part of my hand, and dip into it with a foundation brush to apply. This way, you have control as to how much your picking up with your brush. You don’t want to end up with too much product directly on your face, so its a good way to build your coverage up. Apply from the center, moving the product outward.
Q: Any tips or tricks?
A: To prevent a cream product from looking streaky, I recommend patting the formula into the skin. It ensures coverage, without moving the product around too much.
Q: How to make cream-based products last?
A: You can set it with a translucent powder, to lock the product in place. This helps with setting the product, and also absorbs shine in the t-zone area.
Q: Favorite cream-based products?
A: Allure’s award winning product from Jouer Cosmetics, Luminizing Moisture Tint. For a more oily skin type, try the new Matte Moisture Tint also by Jouer. They leave the most incredible natural glow to the skin. They’re both oil-free and ideal for daily wear.

Lip Lacquer: YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis À Lèvres (Glossy Stain)
Posted by Ashling Moss
⚜⚜⚜
Yves Saint Laurent’s Rouge Pur Couture Vernis À Lèvres (Glossy Stain) is a unique hybrid of a lip stain and gloss without the dryness of a stain and the stickiness of a gloss.
The Glossy Stain is available in 19 beautiful shades. The pigmentation is rich and true to color. One layer provides a perfect wash of color and two, reaches full opacity. It stains the lips for a long-lasting finish that will not transfer.
The doe-foot applicator makes for easy and precise application. The soft-slanted tip is controllable and accurate. The texture is a gel-like formula that feels comfortable, cooling and hydrating on the lips. The thick consistency plumps the lips and exudes incredible shine with absolutely no glitter or sparkly bits.
This is one of the most inventive lip products I have tried. It is like nail polish for the lips, lacquered and glossy. This is the type of product that you must branch-out and try an extraordinary shade. Skip the neutrals and go directly towards the bold and vibrant shades. My current favorite is #12 Corail Fauve – a pinky-coral shade that looks like sweet watermelon on the lips. However, I have my eye on the perfect red for fall – #20 Rouge Enamel (Sephora Exclusive) as well as a bold orange – #8 Orange de Chine, my out-of-comfort-zone shade.

Rosey Cheeks: By Terry – Rose De Rose Blush Fluide
Posted by Ashling Moss
✯✯✯
By Terry is a cosmetic brand created by Terry de Gunzburg. Formerly known as Director of Makeup Design for Yves Saint Laurent, she helped create emblematic products like Touche Eclat and Teint Singulier. Journalists have dubbed her, “The genius of make-up, the guru of color…”
One of the most popular items in the line is the Rose De Rose Blush Fluid. This gel-like formula is extremely easy to blend and modulate. The color is sheer but buildable and warms and highlights any skintone. This blush reveals a “glow-from-within” flush. Made with natural rose extracts, the elegant rose scent is quite distinct during application but invisible as blush sets.
By Terry Rose De Rose Blush Fluid is available in three colors; Fresh Rose, Amber Rose and Coral Rose. All shades are equally beautiful and luxurious.
